Dollar Find Friday - Angela

Happy Friday everyone! I hope that you enjoyed your day off yesterday and are ready to chat tonight right HERE at the weekly TSG Friday Night Chat :) Everyone is welcome and we love to meet new people so pop on in and say hello! The chat doesn't officially begin until 7 PM (Pacific Time) but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to check in.

Hey there everyone, it's Angela here with Dollar Find Friday!!  I've been keeping this item in my stash for a couple months just waiting for my Trendsetter week and I'm excited to share it with you.

Supplies used:
Wooden sign (from our Dollar Store)
Snowy Days stamp set - There She Goes
Glue stick
Sandpaper
Ribbon
Coaster (came in pack of 4 from $1.50 section at Michael's - have had them for a year or so).
Ink Pad (purple - not shown) and sponge
Chipboard Letters (already had)
Foam brush and white paint (already had at home)
Designer Paper

Paint back of and sides of sign to cover the wood (no need to worry about front because it will get covered by the designer paper.  I just did a light wash of white paint.

Now what you want to do is place the sign on the back
side of the DP and trace with a pencil just a tad larger than the sign.  Cut out DP.

After you have painted and cut out your DP, cover the front of the sign with glue, making sure it is fully covered.
Now you want to sand the excess paper away from the edge with sandpaper. Easy peasy but very messy...
Sponge the edges with purple ink.

Make holes (they were still visble from the back side and thread your ribbon through.

Color the image (I had this pre-stamped) with watercolor and assemble as seen below.

I then added some chipboard letters that I already had.

Tada.... the final product!!!!

First pic is close up of sign.
